Great value for the money

Very hard to give a reasonable evaluation of how much BETTER, than my other cards, would say it is very good, great capacity. All in all, think it is better than my extreme, and much better than Ultra.

You can not go wrong with the extreme version from SanDisk. This version is very reliable and now have had a year and it is always fast to read and write

I do a lot of durability testing and long term use of storage devices before I recommend them to my family and friends. One of the ways I see how long SD cards last, and fast they really are, is that I install an operating system on it, then use that as a boot drive. I tested this SD card Using pop-OS 20 through 21.10. Using a Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming 700 series. When the drive was new, it was actually pretty decent, it ran about par with a mid-tier hard drive as far as boot times go (approximately 1 minute 26 seconds). And when running More ram intensive tasks like a web browser or chat software like discord, once it fully loaded the program, it was alright.

The Cons: As the SD card got older and started to fill up (usually kept it around half full of programs on the 512 GB model) The response times started to degrade pretty fast. What used to boot in about 1 minute and 26 seconds, soon started to take around 3 to 4 minutes. Now we move on to heavy use. Heavily asking this card to read programs or access games through Steam Would cause the card to get very hot (which is to be expected, there is no real cooling to speak of on devices like this and is not the kind of operations these types of storage don't really see).

In conclusion: If you are looking for a SD card that is speedy and reliable, I highly recommend this card, I keep all my backups on devices like this that aren't on My storage server at home. I can say if used under normal everyday use you can get a lot out of this card.
