These are fairy easy to put on. I am not sure if they are helping or not to correct the hammer toe, but I gave them a good rating because they are excellent at keeping those toes from rubbing and blistering when you where shoes.

UPDATE: I wrote this review a few months ago. I wanted to hive you an updated review. I no longer have to have hammertoe surgery because this product has stopped all my pain. I still have a hammer toe on my right foot, but when I wear this device I no longer have any pain. I wanted to let you know that one day I lost it and found it in my dryer. I found that the material that it's made out of stretches out and doesn't feel as comfortable on my foot. What I found out was that when it went through the dryer that the rubber went back to the original shape. The material that it's made out of will pull out of shape after about a month and the device will slip on my foot. So after it went through the dryer I found that the heat put it back in its original shape. So what I do is every night when I take it off I put it under the hottest water that I can have and I find that the device goes back into its original shape. I put it under the water for about 5 minutes. This is very important because if you follow my directions you can buy one package and it can last you a long time. Before it went in the dryer I found that I was having to replace it once every month. Now that I put it under the hot water the rubber will shrink back into the original shape. But if you don't want to run it under hot water every night to get it to go back into its original shape you will have to use another one every month because it only lasts for about 30 days if you don't put it under the hot water.**** If you want to stop your hammer toe pain, you need to buy this now! I'm going to have hammer toe surgery at the end of July and I'm so thankful to have this. As soon as I slipped it on my right foot I no longer had any hammer toe pain! It doesn't slip at all and I can fit my foot in my shoe easily. It feels so comfortable on my foot.

My toes are curled under real bad, so that my toenails are on the floor. Went to a foot doctor, he said it was genetic and gave me some toe pads. Then I saw these and ordered them - I wear them daily, as they are more comfortable than the other ones.
They don't straighten my toes, but I can walk and jog without pain as the pad keeps my toenails up off the floor. No problem wearing in shoes either. The alternative is extensive surgery, which may not stop the condition coming back. So unless you need straight toes for your job - like ballet or other such athletics - I recommend this if you have similar affliction.

I recently had surgery to relieve pain from my neuromas. I had 2 in my right foot. After that now my 3 middle toes all pull together and are very numb and I can't feel them mostly. I trimmed this product down, and played with it. I tried as-is and yeah nope. As some others have said it's too much when walking, but comfortable when sitting. I trimmed most of the thick bottom off, I tried it with 3 holes and that seemed to work but was not quite what I was after. I recently took out another one and trimmed it completely down to just 2 holes, no thick bottom area and this is quite a bit better. All I was looking for was a way to keep the 3 middle toes separated from each other because I cut my middle toe with the nail from the toe next to my piggy toe. I'm on thinners so I bled like a stuck pig. These things are super soft and not particularly strong as elasticity goes? They have plenty of give and don't cut off my circulation. Now I have something that separates my toes enough to prevent any nails from cutting adjacent toes but I'm perfectly comfortable now. I couldn't find anything else that really accomplished what I needed but I was able to make these work. I still have 2 left so if I need to cut up another one I can. I've been using mine for a few weeks religiously ever day all day and they seem to wear just fine. We'll see how they do long term. For now I'm pleased to have found a solution.
