The value is decent for what I paid for them. I have seen them go for cheaper which is a disappointment. Good sound quality.

These sound great. Have them connected to a Denon Amp, and the sound is very clear. The Atmos setup was simple and sounds good

I only bought 1 speaker and also bought 1 of the new upgraded speaker of this version(Klipsch R-605FA). I can't tell the difference in sound or quality of the sound between the two speakers. The biggest difference in the speakers is the R-625FA is $300- less in price so save the money and don't get the newer version. Also, I wish both speakers had a little more bass with them but I guess that's why I have a sub woofer.

These are perfect stand alone for a smaller room or apartment. They are what they are however and the 6 inch drivers only get you so far with deep bass. My home isn't large, would say average, and with no subwoofer they are okay. Yes, just okay. Do they NEED a subwoofer? Well who really needs a subwoofer hey? The answer for my application is yes, they need a subwoofer to finish off that punch we all want watching movies, etc. I've paired mine with the Klipsch wireless 15 inch slotted one. Together it's amazing. You can spend more for speakers and subs. On sale on Amazon and performance wise, its a great value and sound. Sub is in a corner in open area behind the main listening stage. IF you are only going to do just speakers, no sub, you'll want to consider a pair with bigger drivers.

Now to the one of the other reasons I bought them. I have a high ceiling. I could put over head speakers in, could add Atmos speakers in a high wall. COULD mind you. Pulling wires, etc., as I've done before in other homes. Did not want to this time. These ATMOS combo speakers once calibrated with Audyssey on my Denon receiver do very well AND I didn't have to pull any wires or cut any holes!

First and foremost, I am not an extreme audiophile, just an enthusiast.

I love the simplicity of these speakers so you get solid front channels AND quick and easy dolby atmos. I originally got ceiling speakers to install but found that installation just..never happened. so these were the alternate.

Out of the box the first things you will note is:

Each one is fr*kin heavy and SOLID built. You also need to run 2 sets of speaker wire to each.
The cloth "screening" over the top and front attracts dust and anything that will make it look bad. Pet hair, child debris, dust, etc be d a m n e d !
The height and depth are deceptively big. Seriously, check the speaker dimensions to ensure these will fit.My old tower speakers JUST fit under my tv, these need a good 2" more to fit it.
You'll have to move the entire speaker to fine tune the Atmos top speaker. Not a huge deal, but depending on your setup and the reflect angle, it can make this a little... cumbersome.

Aside from the stuff I mentioned that MAY be annoying, these suckers work great. Really solid sound for movies and gaming, a nice clarity, and ... DAT ATMOS EFFECT. If you ever wondered what all the hub bub is about, re-watch Pacific Rim with and without Atmos. With Atmos, the creatures and mechs SOUND like they're towering over you. insane.

My set up: 86" LG LED 4ktv, Polk center and rear speakers, Sony 7.2 Atmos 4k receiver, dual 10" subs. Oh yeah and these speakers lol. I also have a 4k projector and 100" screen, but due to the size and depth of these speakers, I can't use it lol.. screen won't come down enough to be worth it... and blocks the Atmos effect.
