I got this for my husband who is really into camping and durable stuff, but also just likes to go for picnics. He was thrilled and has used it many times since, with me and just as a backpack. The blanket is great for damp or uneven ground, the tools are low quality but great for their uses (opener will open wine bottles just fine, knife will cut easily cut things, plate will plate, just not fancy or high quality) but we've gotten a lot of joy out of it as a set and definitely recommend. The insulation in the pack and the bottle holder are definitely effective for hot or cold purposes alike. Seams are solid on everything, won't fall apart at all. Haven't tested the waterproof factor of the blanket fully yet but it seems legit just looking at the construction.

Absolutely LOVE this pack! Although it has a set of 4 - the actual insulated section only has room to carry a select picnic list of foods for two- my opinion, of course. I love taking it to the outdoor concerts and hikes where we stay and enjoy the view for a while!
I ordered 3 different brands/style of this kind of picnic backpack and this was a winner because the wine bottle holder on the side has a secure "neck" for bottle to not slide out. Once you zipper it in, it will not accidentally fall out if you sling the backpack sideways or drop it. The plates, cutting board, med weight plastic wine glasses and all the accessories are really nice. So far everything has held up nicely for us. This is definitely great as a gift for any occasion! I'm going to buy for Christmas presents and birthdays!
