There are many options for buying this exact globe, but this one doesn't have any obnoxious manufacturer logos slapped on. Light isn't super bright but I didn't expect it to be. The globe can easily be set without using any assistance (with a bit of practice) but the little foam spacer helps. It is pretty easy to have it stick to the top if you bump it. And if the stand loses power the globe falls, but it lands on the bottom of the stand and doesn't roll away so it isn't a huge problem. Fun desk knickknack.
EDIT: Okay, you really do need to have this thing on a steady desk ir it is going to stick to the top. I have a freestanding desk and even just typing on the keyboard for a few minute gets it to wobble its way to the top of the stand. It's still nice, it just sits on the nearby shelf instead of directly on the desk.

It's very cool to see and I love the prismatic, colorful effect of the lights against the base, but I had to deduct a point because uncoordinated me couldn't get it to float no matter how hard I tried. After a couple of friends tried as well, my young nephew got it in place and floating with seemingly no problem. That worked for a couple of days until I nudged the base and knocked it out of orbit (or whatever the magnetic field holding it in place is called).
So I asked a local kid to help me, and sure enough, 15 year old Kyra had it going again within 5 minutes - it took her a couple of tries. I love the floating globe and the way it looks on my side table, but don't like that I can't get it to work on my own.

The media could not be loaded. This was a surprise for our 13 year old just because. He loves it! The only thing is that it doesn't have an on off switch but no big deal. Also it will spin a while but it does need to be prompted. I blow on it to get it going. Definitely worth the money! â'¥ï¸
