It may be because I have two large dogs or that my AC has been running more than usual due to this hot southern summer, but 3 months is too long of a stretch for these fine filters. The airflow after 3 months of dust was so low that my pipes froze. This never happened with the low cost store brand ones I previously bought. I'm going to set a reminder on my phone to change the filter out every two months and see how that goes. With the amount this filter caught I bet the air is a lot cleaner though! Just be wary of your air flow if you switch to these.
