We went for a while with a well problem and before we could get it looked at we bought this portable shower. We could get a slow flow so to shower we would fill a five gallon with about four gallons of water then boil a kettle of water on the stove and add that to the bucket.
I did not count how many showers we took with it but would guess that it pumped a good 25 or maybe 30 gallons without ever being recharged. Not sure about the total but after a number of showers I recharged it anyway even though it was still working just fine.
The pressure is astounding and really does give a good, refreshing shower and is not just a thing to get wet. Even on low power it felt good, and on high power it rinses shampoo out of hair easily.
The only negative thing is that the knob to turn the flow on and off which screws to the shower head is difficult to turn with soapy hands. It would have been better if it were "T" shaped or even square. Other than that, no complaints!

Great showerhead, but know your water supply

This works well. I had to use it when my home shower when out. I used it regularly for about six months. It does have 2 speeds (low and high). High speed does come close to home shower rate. Low speed still works. I have not used it in a camp setting. But when fully charged, you can get about 10-15 low speed showers with a 7-10 min shower with 5 gallons of water, used sparingly. The water shut-off valve helps a great deal too! High speed is about 6-10. But high speed will require about 10-20 gallons of water to get a full shower in. Also, it's best to have boiled/distilled water when using. Normal tap water will leave deposits and cause the hose and shower head to feel heavier over time. I have not found a good way to get rid of those deposits. Plus, you want to try and keep soap away from the shower head or rinse it off really good after each use. Overall, it was a great lifesaver when I needed it.
Nice shower!

It works well, and we were surprised how nice the spray pattern actually is. Washed everything from the dog to us while camping. 5 gal bucket of water was enough for two of us to wet, wash and rinse, and some left for dishes. My wife shampooed and conditioned her long, thick hair with about 3 gals. We have used it for 6 showers and it's on the original charge. Would purchase this again. Comes with a usb charging cable, carry bag and shower head hook.
amazing for camp showers

I got this to use for washing hair with distilled water. It's a long story so I'll just say that our water is so hard that even with an Aquasana filter my bleached platinum hair turns mountain dew yellow.
So I got a 5 gallon bucket, an immersion heater, and this shower head to use with distilled water when rinsing, shampooing, and conditioning my hair.
It's really easy to use. You charge it with a special charger - it comes with the charger.
The operation has only two buttons.
One button controls the water flow - low and high.
The other button controls the power - off and on.
The lower flow is fine for shampooing my fine hair. The higher flow feels a lot nicer but it burns through the water a lot faster. Since I'm using distilled water out of a 5 gallon bucket I use low flow to conserve water.
The power button works easily but I will say that when it is immersed in the water it is easy to get confused about which button is which. This is my reason for giving it only 4 stars. The buttons should be obviously different colors or they should feel different when reaching in to the water.
If you take the pump out of the water when it is operating you have to turn the whole thing upside down and clear the water out before the pump will work again. Total PITA! So being able to operate the buttons when the pump is immersed is really important.
I've only ever used it for a couple minutes per shower before recharging. It would probably last for more than one shower but I don't want to find out the hard way that it is dead so I recharge it every time.
To conserve water I power it on and off after each stage of shampooing my hair: rinsing, rinsing out the shampoo, and rinsing out the conditioner.
I also aim the shower spray back into the bucket while I fumble to find the power button.
I'm so pleased with this. I would be thrilled to have a shower like this when camping. Paired with an immersion heater it's just as nice as the spray from a home shower.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
