Small oval works for up to 14 lb mono in my case

I placed an order for small (oval) and another order for medium (oval). Both orders arrived yesterday in one box and both were size small. It turns out they did me a favor. The small size fits snug on the 14 lb monofilament and 8 lb fluorocarbon mono leader sizes I like to use. Anything larger size than 15lb mono, you may want to 'try' getting the medium oval.
I like the oval shape because it tends to work well in spooling and casting through my bait casting rig. Keep in mind, with a slip bobber, you may have 10+ feet of depth. The bobber stop will often need to be spooled in and cast out through the rod guides. I'm not sure how well these will work when spooled on a spinning reel. I'm not brave enough to try that, yet. They work well with my bait caster.
