My wife's Lexus came with something like this standard. I finally broke down and looked for something similar for my 5th gen 4Runner and came cross this product. It fits perfectly in the console and is super easy to install, it literally just drops in place. Storage capacity is obviously low, it's a shallow tray, but it helps to keep smaller items more easily accessible than if they fall to the bottom of the console.
You do have to place the tray in the correct place in the console otherwise the lid won't close. That's not much of an issue but it can be frustrating if you don't slide it back in right place and try to close the lid...especially if you're driving the first time you encounter this issue.
