The lighter colors need several layers to be vibrant, but overall the paint looked good after application (especially for the price). However, after several hours the paint started flaking off and did not look as neat. This would be great for a short party, but I wouldn't recommend it for a full workday or if you need it to look perfect for a long amount of time.
In the picture, you can see how the white had started flaking onto the black of the nose. I did multiple layers for every color, although red only needed two.

I bought this face paint for my 16 yo daughter...she does face painting for little kids at daycare schools & preschools. She says this paint kit works SO WELL!!! This palette comes dry, you need to spray the color you're using with water every minute or so while you're using it. Overall, the colors pay off and mix well with others. The only problem was the white, it came out really streaky. Otherwise, the colors were pretty good and didn't give me too many issues. I recommend putting on foundation first, the colors came out more evenly. If you're working on someone else's face, have them wipe their face down to make sure it's clean.

This face paint is awesome and versatile. It's just very thin and watery as well, so you have to do lots of layers. You just mix it like watercolor paints and you're good to go! I really like it now that I've gotten the hang of it, but it definitely takes some time to practice and get it right. The black and colors are nice and thick, but the white is hard to thicken up.
Also. SO hard to get off. I had to scrub my face, shower, and still scrub at my eyes with a makeup remover wipe for a long time before I was clean. I think I still look a little bit like a raccoon.
So, be warned. If you're careful this can be an awesome set to use. You just have to know this it's a big time commitment!
But also, guys, look how well my Halloween costume turned out!

Used this product for face painting at an event. Saw many reviews complaining that the paint doesnt go on easily, but think those reviews came from inexperience with this kind of paint. Just like the more expensive Snazaroo paints these need to be wetted with water before they can be used effectively...just like watercolors. I was impressed with the paint's ability to cover and also to allow for detail. Other facepaints i've used in the past tend to be very uneven and "gob" up rather than spread onto skin. These paints worked at least as well as the much more expensive brand i mentioned earlier. The only negative I have for these paints is that they are definitely not long-lasting. water and sweat will wash away this paint in no time. Although, for the most part this is a good thing as there will not be the need for scrubbing and makeup remover for the parents and children to endure later on. Overall, this was a great buy, and I won't hesitate to order again.
