This product is ok for my 14 month old Grandson but, I really wanted balls that would bounce. These do not. They are a nice size for his hands and they roll but again do not provide him a soft ball that he can throw that bounces. I will continue my search. I do recommend these. Remain aware of the no bounce factor. Colorful and provide different textures and sizes.

For a 6-month old, I think they're too big for him to hold now but they won't be in the future. I like the different textures the balls come in and think they will be great in the water and on the ground. I like the cups that stack too. Right now, he likes clanging the colorful cups together and pushing a few of the balls around. The items are easy to clean too. I wanted them for teething but I don't see how they could be used for that. There is one ball with plastic spikes but those spikes are pretty hard and short - I don't see him putting that in his mouth to teeth on and when he did put it in his mouth, he pulled it right out. He does like to put the balls up to his mouth and drool on them.
It's a fun, colorful, entertaining set but I don't think it's for teething.
