Beautiful, great for the price, not so difficult as everyone mentions.
I read a bunch of reviews and selected this company's parasol in a 2-fold collapse. It's gorgeous! I was nervous because so many people were complaining about opening and closing it as well as getting it back in the decorative baggie. I found no issue with these. I would not, however, recommend it to a parent that has children to wrangle.it only takes a moment but it's gorgeous, and I don't have the demands of little beasts...
When you open it, ever single vein(?), holder upper (?), metal joint (?) needs to "click" into place. Don't worry about extending it too far. It's sort of unnerving at first but once I saw the clips and realized I had to go further than I'd opened it up, boom. Clicks. No problem. It's really beautiful. I'm considering getting one to modify (self standing or clip on) for some projects I do outside. So pretty and functional!

I took this to the Renaissance Festival this year and got many comments on it. I do wish the interior wasn't black, but it definitely does the job. It's double digits cooler under the parasol, and that was a life saver!

Ordered as a birthday gift for a teacher friend. It's really pretty and the box is pretty, but the "metal" (handle, push button, ribs) is actually cheap plastic and the umbrella part is more like a ziploc bag or poncho type material. I couldn't even get it to open so I returned it and ordered her something else. For $40, it should have been better made. The One Star is only there because I can't give zero stars and because it did ship as promised and arrive when it was supposed to.

This parasol is both lovely and functional. In my part of the U.S., the summers are hot and humid. This parasol makes it possible for me to go outside anyway. The outside is VERY glittery--if you're not into sparkle, then it's not for you. And yes, it is lined with solid black vinyl--that actually keeps the sun from shining through. You are taking your own shade with you wherever you go.

The first one I bought was extremely difficult to open- i gave up after three tries and hurting my wrist. the seller happily sent me another one though- all of the parasols from this seller are just gorgeous- i can't get over how beautiful they are.... do be prepared for a smaller sized parasol (it's not as large as an umbrella), but it came in a cute carrying bag and does go with my outfits (i like pastels and creams) which is why i went with a parasol over the UV blocking umbrellas which tend to be darker.
