This is a fun family game that is actually two games in one. We have played both yard Yatzy and yard Farkle, both of which come with the set.The wood that the dice are made from is a little soft so you need to be careful when rolling on a hard surface. Unfortunately, they are also very light weight so if your grass is too long the dice won't lay flat. We have an old area rug that we put on the driveway when we play and it works wonderfully! They also were great indoors on hard or carpeted surfaces.
