Good socks for casual wearing

I wear these socks during the summer and they are good for that. The size is perfect for me ( my shoe size is 12 wide ) and I like the length. I don't know how these are sold as athletic / running socks. Of course you can wear them for running, but you will be replacing them very often. I use them for my daily walks and they wear out pretty quickly if you put any serious miles on them. I walk about 8-10 miles a day and these socks just don't last. Other than that I do like them and will continue to buy them. For normal everyday use they are great and very comfortable. I also like that I can toss them in the dryer and not worry about them shrinking.

I was looking for some short socks that don't slip down. These work and were not as expensive as many others. They are the perfect thickness, not too thick and not too thin. I like the packaging as well. They came rolled up individually with a paper rolled around them instead of those plastic locks that tear the socks if you pull them apart. I will buy more.

I purchased two other brands and wasn't happy with either. These were an easy "yes" and are just right. They are thicker, better made, and more comfortable. They aren't as "cute" as the others but that doesn't seem important. I have only worn and washed a few pair once, so I can't speak to the longevity. Based on how they look and feel, I expect they will last for a good length of time. I am very happy with them. I would buy them again.

I am one of those people whose toes stay cold so they don't like to walk around in bare feet. Unfortunately I am also one of those people whose feet swell--especially in the summer. These socks are fantastic for me. I had surgery on my Achilles tendon years ago and still have trouble with it today. These socks fit comfortably and work well with both my injury and swelling.
The only down side is that since I wear them all the time, they tend to get a small hole (usually near the pinky toe) and I end up replacing them every 3 months or so. But they are worth it.

Very comfortable plain black socks that I wear to work. They stay up, which is a huge problem I usually have with socks. They don't tend to shrink. They are sick enough to be quite comfortable, but than enough that my feet don't get too hot. I work in healthcare and I'm on my feet all day, so the socks get a lot of wear. I will say, they tend to wear out in the heal on the quicker side for me. It's fairly frequent that I find holes in the heal on my worn pairs. However, at the price point and comfort, I find myself keep re-ordering this.
