2x gets the job done, good stopgap before a new couch

I have a cheap Ashley couch that's had heavy use over the last 4 years. The springs in the base are pretty shot leading to excess sag when sitting. I bought 2x of these to provide some support (multiple based on recommendations in the comments). Both fit as expected and do provide the support I was looking for. My only gripe is that these are overpriced for what they are. That being said If I can get 1-2 extra years out of the couch I would call that a pretty good deal.

We have a custom sofa from a reputable well known retailer that is only 3 yrs old. The cushions have completely broken down. For how expensive it was, we are extremely disappointed. I order this product and it works as intended. We do not sink down near as far when we sit on the sofa. While it is thick and very sturdy, we do not feel the hardness of it through the seat cushions, we just don't sink as far. I will be ordering foam to replace the foam in the cushions as well, but until I complete my research on that, in the mean time we cut a piece from a king sized egg crate bed foam topper (that we had in a closet, not being used) to the measurement of this Laminate piece and placed that on top of the Laminet piece, then placed our sofa seat cushions on top of that. It almost feel like a new sofa!
