LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GRINDER!!!

I have been saying I was going to get one of these forever and now I wonder why I waited so long. THIS IS GREAT and so EASY TO USE!!! Literally, take it out of the box and attach it to the mixer.

My son is a professional bodybuilder and eats LOTS of ground chicken and turkey breast. Seldom can you find that on sale, but I can often buy boneless, skinless breasts for a fraction of the costs, especially hitting BOGOs.

I needed ground pork for lumpia and the store was out. I bought pork loins and quickly and easily made my own ground pork, which I'm sure was better quality than the "mystery" ground pork in the store, plus I saved money. Since then I've picked up pork loins BOGO and out in the freezer for future grinding.

This is so simple and quick and I like seeing exactly what is going into my ground meat. I've seen recommendations to freeze, or partially freeze the meat, and some people even say to chill the grinder, but I've used it with both frozen and non frozen and had no problems at all.

The KitchenAid rep says she puts a folded kitchen towel under the back to slightly tilt forward to keep any juices from running back into the mixer.

I do recommend cleaning immediately after use (and there is a handy dandy cleaning brush) because if you wait, the residue is more difficult to clean if it has dried.

I will reiterate, I LOVE this kitchen tool!!
Why didn't I buy this before?!

Why did I not buy this earlier?! I could've save myself a lifetime in the time I spend chopping up chicken breasts for ground chicken. Yes, I know I can purchase ground chicken at any supermarket but the ground on those is too small for my liking. I like it to be a little bit larger so I used to use a butcher knife to get a rough chop and it took FOREVER. I've seen the pasta maker attachment on the KitchenAid but didn't even THINK about looking for a grinder.

The stainless steel on this grinder is very strudy and well made. It comes with 3 different size plates for grinding and a sausage plate. Also comes w/ a cleaning brush (very nice touch) and some other sausage making accessories (not really interested in using that).

The packaging on this is awesome. Everything has it's place in the box and nothing could even have been able to get damaged. Since I have space, I'm going to continue to use the box as my storage for the parts.

I received this and immediately washed it and put it on my mixer to start using it. I selected the largest size for the grind and set to work. I did 7 LARGE chicken breasts (what are they feeding chickens these days?) on the largest grind plate in about 10-15 minutes! It was a total of 7lbs all together. I did slice the chicken breasts in half to fit through the top hole of the grinder easily but that was all I had to do.

All the pieces were super easy to wash and dry.

If you need a grinder and have a KitchenAid mixer, RUN to amazon and purchase this asap. It will make your life so much easier!!
Well made

What a handy gadget!....made 50 pounds of pepperoni with it!...the mixer got a little warm had to take a break for it to cool down but the grinder worked great....it even withstood the teenager that was sure more muscle would make it go faster.....

We bought the KitchenAid KSMMGA Metal Food Grinder Attachment to process a deer into snack sticks as well as mix ground beef and venison meat together for ground venison. It worked great and saved us a lot of time compared to any other alternatives I know of. The material is like an ice cream scoop you would freeze, so that you can freeze it before use. This really helps to keep the meat cool and prevent the product from becoming too liquid or mushy. It made for very fast work and did not struggle with anything we put in it, even some of the leftover tendons or grisly stuff we ground up for the dog. We pretty much stuck to the largest size attachment for our ground venison, and it was the perfect size. We liked the bigger option, so the meat is not too small for recipes, but there are options for whatever your preference. It is easy to assemble and attach to your KitchenAid mixer. It came in a box easy to unpack and repack, as we just put it back in the box to store, with cushion and slots for each piece. There were clear instructions if needed as well.
Very Nice!

I don't leave reviews but I am because I am so impressed! I have tired it once following the instructions, freezing the meet and grinder prior to using. I did chicken breasts, cutting them up into slices. The grinder worked great with the medium disk, it ground it up like a charm. Clean up was easy, I immediately cleaned parts in a bowl of soapy water, they advise not to put in dishwasher. Would definitely recommend!
