Like the recharge feature - no batteries required.
Works a lot better than a traditional fly swatter

I like leaving my front door open and the security door screen openings are big enough that sometimes small gnats get thru. And it's unavoidable to periodically have a fly or other insect sneak in when the front door is open. I haven't owned a regular fly swatter in a long time and I'm always looking around for a newspaper or something I can roll up to try and swat the little buggers. Finally I decided to bite the bullet and buy a fly swatter but saw these electric ones that are now being sold so I thought I'd try the ZAP it.
It was easy enough to charge and seemed to charge pretty fast. Naturally I didn't have any bugs flying around the house for a few weeks, but then I finally got a chance to use it. It took a little getting used to having to push the "ON" button with your thumb to make it work before swatting, but it definitely works well. The greatest thing about this unit is that you only have to make contact with the bug, you don't have to smash it. And while it doesn't always kill the bug, it stuns it so it falls to the ground where you can finish the job.
I wish I never had to deal with bugs flying around the house, but this is more effective than a regular fly swatter. It stays charged a very long time. I have never had it lose a charge, but I charge it a few times a year just to make sure it is always ready when needed. The only bad thing is you can only swat flies out in the open. If a bug flys behind the blinds, I would not swat the blinds with this. And if a bug is sitting on a counter, I try to come down over the bug to zap it when it takes off, but not swat it on the counter itself. I took off one star because I really only need one and don't like the extra expense of being required to buy a two-pack. But I gave the other one to a friend who is also enjoying uses it and finds it very effective.

Do you have an insect problem? Do you like to sit outside, but you don't because of the pests that swarm you? The answer to your most annoying problems is here! It's called "The Zapper"!
I purchased this item because of a fruit fly problem. I purchased the medium size (see pics attached). It's hand held. It feels like a tennis racket. It's incredibly lightweight! The red indicator light shows you that the zapper is turned on and ready to use. The blue LED light is to help you see in darker areas. This way you will be sure not to miss those pesky little insects. You just swat at them, or lay the racket upon a surface when they land, and ZAP! They're gone! It takes seconds! It does make a little noise, but nothing terrible. It does spark a little, but it's not bad. It just takes a little getting used to. It is rechargeable. It charges with a USB cable that is included (but only one cable for both rackets). It can be used indoors or outdoors. It takes care of tiny insects (fruit flies) to regular sized insects (flies, wasps, spiders, etc.). Needless to say, we've eliminated most of our issues in just a matter of a few days!
If you're looking to eliminate problematic pests, I definitely recommend using one of these! They absolutely do the job! I give it a 100% ðŸ‘!

Mini racket size but powerful and zaps flies dead; lasts long on a single charge.

So far so good. These things are very light and hopefully their plastic doesn't break. I have dropped it once already, but it shows no signs of damage. This product should be used to wave around in the air to touch the pests. It is not intended to "hit" or "smack" anything because it will break. I do however notice that I catch more pests the faster I wave it in the air (be aware of your environment; try not to break anything or hurt anyone). The flys that I manage to hit with this make a loud snapping sound. Sometimes they survive the hit and fly away, but most times they fall to the ground subdued, allowing you to step on them. Other times they get stuck in it and make a little lightning bolt arc shine from their bodies. This usually results in a burned smell if you continue to press the energizing button (which I will explain in a moment). These USB rechargeable zap rackets come with only one cord, but I already have another cord for a cell phone, so, whatever. The charge cord fits behind the yellow door at the base of the handle. I like that this product has switches on it. One on the side that cuts power to the metal completely, and one in the middle of the handle to control a light. Why it needs a light is beyond me, but it's there if you need it. The main button that energizes the metal grid is the yellow button on the side. There are two LED lights on the handle. A red LED light that shines to show you that the metal grid is being energized every time the yellow button is pressed, and a green one lower on the handle that only shines to indicate when it is finished recharging. Oh, and instructions say it should be charged before use. It also says it can be recharged a thousand times (or something along those lines) because of the powerful lithium battery, but I have yet to charge it again (since the first charge after I received it). I have already killed around 40 flies and a few mosquitoes with one of them on a single charge and it shows no signs of weakening. Both rackets have fully charged within two hours. I have not shocked myself yet, and I have noticed that this is due to the safe design. I am fairly certain that shocking yourself is a possibility if you are determined to do it, but I highly recommend that you not. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product so far but I will return to update this review if I find any problems or flaws to adjust the star rating.
They work!

We have a beach house on the coast of NC. We have a very large seating area outside with a wide screen TV where we and our guest spend a great deal of time if we are not on the beach. The flies get to be a problem especially if everyone has a cocktail and snacks. We bought four of these and when we are enjoying something on TV ( and a cocktail ) we hand these out. It has actually become a "competition" to see who can eradicate the most .🤣 Most so far it's 62. No prize but we are working on it!
