Great for travel

If you travel with your large dog, this is a must have. I take my dog to my parents' house and he sleeps in his crate while he's there. The metal crates are heavy and a pain to carry, set up, and break down. This one is so light and I can set up or break down in just a min (once you figure it out). And I've used mine several times and it has held up. No tearing or disintegration. Good quality! My dog has even tried to claw at a zipper a few times and it's still good. I LOVE my dog but the chores that come with having a large bread dog are a pain in my a**!!! This makes life just a little easier!
Convenient Crate for Traveling to Dog Shows with My Labrador Retriever
bhw✓ Verified Purchase•October 9, 2023
This is a very convenient soft crate for traveling with my 75-pound Labrador Retriever to dog shows. It is large enough for the dog to lie in there comfortably, yet light and compact to carry when folded up. The shoulder strap and handles are great and make carrying it easy. At home, we keep our dog in a foldable, 48", two-door Precision dog crate, but I find that to be too large, bulky, and heavy for travel.
I would have rated this crate five stars, except that 1) it has only one "door" (I wish it had two entries - one on front and the other on the side) and 2) the inside gets relatively warm (in contrast to our regular metal crate) so that I have to open the top vent /zipper to air it out while dog is in the crate.
Pros:
- relatively light in weight
- sturdy and seems to be well-built
- foldable - it folds and unfolds easily
- easy and relatively fast to assemble for one person
- handles and straps make it easy to carry
- two relatively large accessories pockets, one of which can be detached
- fleece liner is a nice feature - (even though it won't be warm enough to protect from cold of concrete floors)
- clip to hold folded-up crate leaves enough room to place additional dog bed/mat inside and it still closes (we have the Kurgo Wander Dog Bed)
Cons:
- has only one entry (on front); no side entry in case you need to set up the crate sideways
- gets relatively warm inside
I am not sure if this soft crate would be large enough to comfortably fit larger dogs than ours (75-pound Labrador) that like to stretch out when in crate.
Overall, excellent crate, well suited for our purposes. Would recommend!

Roomy and comfortable

I recently moved cross country with two cats and a large dog. My two cats cannot go into the same crate even though this would have been plenty big enough for both of them. I bought two of these (one for each cat) to travel 1900 miles in the back hatch of my Subaru Outback. It was a tight squeeze but I managed to get BOTH crates in the back hatch (one of the crates I had to release the top frame bracket to squeeze it in). Each cat was able to have a small litter box to the rear of the crate, a small bed and a small bowl of water and food to keep them comfortable for the trip. These crates are big and roomy (taller than I needed but that's ok) and the top and sides were mesh, so the cats didn't feel too confining and were able to receive light and look out from the top since the sides were blocked by the hatch door and sides. They were also able to get proper ventilation as I also purchased two small USB fans to plug in the back hatch so they wouldn't get too hot back there. These crates also contained any messes that happened during the trip, such as spilled food and litter being kicked out by either cat, so it didn't get all over the back of my vehicle. These crates were also fairly lightweight for me to carry from the vehicle to the hotel rooms...... a bit bulky but lightweight enought that I didn't need assistance carrying despite their larger size. I also love that they fully collapse for storage, waiting for the next long car ride :)
These would be great for small to medium dogs too.

Very large, nice for travel

I bought the 36 grey version. My dog is about 30lbs but is a mix/rescue and has rather unusual proportions, with long legs and long body for her weight. I had a VERY hard time figuring out which size to get for her, since I could't tell at what points the measurements on the listing were taken (inside? outside?) and in photos from other buyers I had trouble figuring out the size of their dog and how their dog's proportions compared to mine. So I stayed on the safe side and went with the 36'.
This one is... very large. Way bigger than I needed, which is okay and we'll still use it, but wasn't really what I was looking for. For anyone wondering, I'm a large adult and I am able to comfortably sit inside the crate. It measures around 35.5" length inside and 37" length outside, 24" wide inside and outside, and 23" high inside and 24" high outside. It has one entrance/exit which is 16" tall x 18.5" wide.
The other thing I will note is that it is fairly difficult to set up and take down, more effort than I would have liked. You have to unfold it, then sort of prop the lid up and unzip the top, then wrestle one of the frame bars into the other side of the fabric, then get the bars that hold the crate up to slide into place, which is a bit difficult to do, since there are these little grippers and you have to line them up, push them in CAREFULLY, then slide the rest of the way on each side to finish the set-up. It's a moderately physical task when doing it alone, which I just want to note especially for someone with a disability (like, if you were in a wheelchair, or only had use of one hand, or even just have weak/arthritic hands), this would be pretty hard to set up and break down. It's especially daunting because I've had a similar travel crate before, and I accidentally snapped the plastic frame just setting it up, so handling these things requires a rather unnerving combination of care and strength.
I don't think the set-up should put anyone off, though. That's generally just part of the deal with crates, especially travel specific ones. Overall I really like this. Once it's set up it's sturdy, it comes with a removable dog bed in the bottom, has a failsafe at the top of the zipper so you can clip the zippers into it (so your dog can't scratch at the seam to open the door), and has 2 bags to store things in (one large and detachable and the other attached). The absolute best thing about it, though, is the convenience for traveling. It's very lightweight (I can easily carry it with one hand) and once you manage to collapse it, it folds up nicely and has multiple straps and clips to carry it with.
I actually like it enough that I decided to go ahead and buy the smaller crate as well (the size 30), which I hope will be a better size for my dog, and I'm planning on using one as her permanent crate and the second as her travel crate. I'll come back and update my review if one of them breaks or anything goes awry, but it seems like they're high quality and should last a while, as long as I manage not to break anything setting them up/taking them down.

One of the best purchases we ever made for our Lab!

This foldable crate has been such a godsend for us while traveling with our sweet Lab. She has plenty of room to stretch out while feeling secure while we have to leave her alone for a period of time and also overnight. It has worked well at hotels, beach rental houses, and relative's homes. It is sturdy, packs up nicely, and fits in the back seat of our car. I highly recommend this crate and the largest size if you have a large dog like a Golden or Labrador.
