But pictures can sometimes be deceiving and be prepared that it is a little bit small"¦ if you're looking for just a little space heater, no problem this will work fantastic but the whole point of this one versus another space heater is the fact that it has the little fake fireplace in it. you want to be able to show that off yes? If you put it on a countertop as opposed to the floor, it'll definitely look better. But just remember it gets hot so be careful if it was bigger, I would definitely give it five stars. As far as it working and keeping you warm? 100%

I first bought this heater in 2020 and totally forgot to write a review. I have a small 2 bedroom apartment (less than 1,000 sq ft) and I live at 3,700 elevation in the alpine town of Mount Shasta, ca. Winters here can be bitterly cold! I have propane heat and that's wayyyy too expensive to depend on. I was going through a new space heater every winter and wanted something that would actually last more than one season. After reading dozens of reviews for different heaters similar to this one, I ordered this.
I first heat my home to 80 with the central heat, turn that off and then kick this one on. Surprisingly it maintained the heat for my entire apartment! Always reliable and it didn't run up my electric bill more than $25 more per month. I typically ran it for 13+ hours per day. It lasted for about three seasons until the fireplace light stuck and wouldn't turn off and I'm paranoid about fire since having a house fire years ago so I decided it's best to just replace it. It's also visually soothing! I'd definitely recommend this for really good evenly distributed heat.
My son also bought one after seeing mine and loves it!

So my partner and I were looking for a room / floor heater for a long time. Part of the room was always a bit chilly for her and my part was a bit warmer, and we were looking for a way to balance things out.
Then this gem of a heater grazed our search results in Amazon. We looked at so many. I'm a little bit picky with the look of heaters, but the 18-inch one looks magnificent. Sleek, just a glass pane on the front and no odd bars blocking the view. The heat output is wonderful, and is great for warming both feet and the surrounding area in front of the heater.
Best yet, it balances the heat in the room so it solves our problem!
The visualizer option looks great and hypnotizing. There is a switch for the heat and one for the visualizer. You can turn them on/off independently of each other.
The only minor drawback I might say is based on our specific room layout it would be nice to have a slightly longer cord by maybe one foot. But that's nothing a small heavy duty extension cord wouldn't fix. and honestly it already fits it its prime location with the cord it comes with.
I am using it right now to heat up my cold feet and it's wonderful!!

My bedroom is an attic room in a 50s home, and I chose not to do the expensive process of running the hot water baseboard heat into it at this time. Another small room adjacent to it does have it so it helps, but definitely needed another heat source (been getting down into the teens at night here). I know there are cheaper space heaters out there to do the job but I wanted one that wasn't an eyesore. This little heater does a great job! My electric bill was lower than I expected as well, since it's used every day now. Absolutely recommend this for the remote option, and the actual thermostat readout that this model has vs. others. I keep a separate temperature gauge in the room as well because I know in my situation the heater would be incapable of keeping the space at the actual thermostat temperature. In my case, when I set it to 70°, my room stays around 65° with the bedroom door open (roughly 16x16 attic room). When on the lowest setting the flames look nice- I didn't expect anything close to realistic so I'm happy there. Only change I would make is not being able to see the control panel readout unless the door on the unit is open. I know it would ruin the look of the stove, so maybe the next model will have a basic readout on the remote itself? The heater has a timer function that I love, anywhere from a half hour up to 6, and the thermostat so you can change temperature settings- up to 72°. But when I wake in the morning I turn it on before I get out of bed (I repeat, I love the remote). Except I'm guessing on what I'm setting it to, as I can hit buttons but can't see the readout. Same when I go to bed, can't tell if it's really registering every press of the button so I don't know how long I've set the timer for. All things considered very minor of course, but thought I'd mention. A readout on the remote would make it perfect. The unit stays cool to the touch as the actual heater is on the bottom. Very happy with this heater!
