If you know what an infection looks like it can be useful but also hard to tell without knowing what you're looking for. It's also hard to know what's going on at a glance since it's hard to get baby to be still while examining the ears

My son is almost 2 and has had 2 ear infections now. It doesn't help that he holds his ears to self sooth so anytime he's not feeling well it's hard to tell if he's pulling his ears because of an infection or to self sooth. After taking him to urgent care several times to check for infections I finally thought to buy this product- wish I had done it way sooner! So easy to look in my kids ears and see weather or not it is infected instead of paying all that money just to check at the doctor. Definitely recommend this product! Very easy to use

The otoscope is bright, easy to use, and easy to transport. Would have been 5 stars BUT he ear specula did not stay on the otoscope. I had to go get ear specula from another place in order to use the tool. However, once equipped with the correct ear specula, the otoscope was good to go!
