I have a classic car that is exposed to some nasty elements in my neighborhood (trucks, freeway, train, etc). Prior to this I had two custom made car covers that cost around $350 each (probably more now). They each lasted about 4-5 years, and when the second one was starting to go I decided to look into getting a more affordable option - at least for now. After much looking I decided on this Motor Trend cover. I've had it about 4-5 months and I must say, it's done an *excellent* job at keeping my car protected! My car cover guy told me that it's best to leave the cover off when I know it's going to rain (for multiple reasons), but I decided to leave it on during all the recent rain we've had in California...and it's done so well! The best part is that it's not only lightweight, but it dries very quickly.
Unfortunately, the cover was no match for the hurricane-like storm we had this past weekend, and when I came home tonight it was off the car and saturated with water on the ground. I am going to have to take it to the laundromat tomorrow and wash it on the delicate cycle and hope for the best!

I bought the large 190" cover for a 2001 Mustang that's a little over 180" long. It fits pretty darn well as you can see. The fabric seems similar to a $250 cover on the Corvette in the background, and I'm sure it will protect the car well. Comes with a cable and lock to tie both sides together under the car, an antenna patch if you need to cut a hole for that (I have a shorty bendable antenna), and a storage bag. Not bad for $57.

I purchased the MotorTrend car cover after reviewing numerous reviews on Amazon. I own a 2003 BMW Z4 3.0, and was skeptical the cover would deliver at such a great price point! I keep my car outside now that my garage is used for storage. It's not a California car cover but it's well made, the material is soft and durable. The cover fits perfectly on my Z4( (see picture), it even comes with a rubber coated wire which slides underneath the car and secures with a provided lock. I haven't had any rain, I'll follow up with another review in few weeks. Overall, great price, well made!
