I'm 6'2'' and 230lbs and wear XL in men's shirts. I ordered an XXL and this fit perfectly. Keep in mind I do not intend to button it closed.

I've seen several reviews about no buttons or pockets. The one I received has functioning pockets and elastic eyelets for the buttons. I don't intend to use either but they exist on mine.

Came with an extra button. Buttons on the outfit are VERY flimsy but haven't fallen off. Was worried unbuttoning one was going to rip it out but luckily it didn't happen.

We visit a Ren fest twice a year and for a pirate frock coat this looks amazing. My fiance wants one of her own now. Definitely not heavy weight but not paper light either. Will keep you warm on breezy days but don't expect it to keep you warm below 50 f.

For a costume it's definitely made a lot better than anything you'd find at Walmart. Besides some loose threads all over the place it looks exceptionally good. Definitely don't regret buying this.

The Jacket was a hit! Loved the Color. Prior to ordering, I read that the jacket comes in smaller than expected, and someone suggested ordering 1 size larger than you currently wear. That was a GREAT suggestion and glad that I did exactly that. I ordered the Extra Large and it fit as if i had ordered a Large. The material is light weight, but was able to withstand a night of dancing and a light ironing to get the shipping folds out (place a handkerchief or t-shirt over it, never place the hot iron directly on the material). The outer pockets are functional for keys, ID's and light items, however the pocket whole material felt a tad-thicker than dollar store table cloth material but did manage to hold a full bottle of water without failure while dancing. I have hung the jacket up in the closet and it appears that it is ready for another outing or two. So its possible to get several wears/events out of this purchase. I am totally pleased and looking forward to other opportunities to wear this jacket. My only wish is that the buttons worked (it doesn't have button holes). I would recommend & purchase again if I needed too. But I think I can use it into next year, if I maintain my weight. ;-)

Completed my gothic vampire costume, this jacket has ornate detail and was a hit! Sorry for the close up pic... couldn't find a better one to show the pattern details.

Im 5'7" somewhat chubby at 195lbs, noticeable at the gut area, and I believe I got the Large and the coat fit just like a glove. If I held my stomach tighter, it would be perfect, but Im chubby at the gut, so its causing the fit to be tighter than I would like. Im going to keep the coat open, so the tight fit in my stomach area won't be an issue. The sleeve length is perfect, the shoulder width too. The material looks nice and is very light. The package was 1.1lbs, I thought it looked heavier, but since its a costume coat, it has less material, therefore lighter. There are loops that you can loop around the buttons to close them. The pockets are real, but the button is attached to the flaps. The cuffs are attached to the fold and are not real. I thought the coat would touch the ankle area, but its actually around the knee area. For the price, I think it does the job. But I wouldnt wear this as an everyday thing like a real coat, the seams might get undone at some point, but thats just my opinion. Overall, I like it.
