Sturdy enough for indoor use and not a bajillion dollars compared to other units. Mounting hardware was included which is nice and all however the mounting corners of the unit are relatively thin plastic so be careful not to over tighten when attaching to the wall. anyone determined to get into it could do so easily, however more than adequate for typical use of things you don't expect anyone to try and steal
