Good tent, stayed dry in terrible storm with flooded camp

So Ive had this awhile and camped around 10 times with it. Last weekend we had 2 days with terrible rainstorms. Tent was sitting in at least 2" of flood water for a couple hrs each day. Completely dry inside. At the end of the trip it was a little damp under the sleeping pad but im pretty sure it was just condensation. All in all its a pretty good tent. Easy 2 pole setup and takedown and the extra room under the rainfly is really nice especially when its wet. The storage up top for phone/keys ect is nice as well and we just leave it inside when we pack it up. Nice and roomy for 2. I did purchase used/like new for 90ish dollars.
Works well. Some room for improvements.

This is good budget tent. There's quite a lot to like, but a few areas for improvement.
PROS:
* Ventilation: It has two doors, each with a window that can be opened or closed. There's also two windows at the base, and mesh at the top. The rainfly has openings on the top and optional roll-up flaps at the base to increase ventilation.
* Waterproof: this survived a few short bursts of light rain and one medium rain with no signs of leaking.
* Color: the yellow stands out nicely.
* Guy lines are bright green and highly reflective
CONS:
* the vestibules in front and back are not large enough to exit the tent and still be underneath the vestibule. You have to open both the vestibule and tent door to enter or exit, which means that debris and rain follow you into the tent when entering. The zippers for each vestibule are hard to reach from within the tent. You have to lean out of the tent a few feet to open and close the vestibules.... but again - not enough room to exit the tent and close the tent door behind you :(
* the floor material is thin. my cot wore holes in the floor in 2 weeks.
* the vents on the top of the rainfly are held up by a thick flap of material. I'm not sure that material will remain rigid enough to support the vents long-term.
* The loops/toggles for holding doors and windows open are a little shorter than I'd like. They're somewhat annoying to use - you must roll the fabric tightly to get the toggles around the fabric.
* The instructions are unclear as to where stakes and guy lines are to be placed. It seems that it might be missing two stakes and guy lines - but I can't tell since the instructions don't show guy lines.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this tent because we like to motorcycle camp, a lot. I wanted to set it up now for a test run and not look like a fool in the middle of the night trying to set it up. I am genuinely impressed with the purchase thus far. It has some nice features that one does not think about until it's dark and need a place to store little things. The above mesh pocket most tents have has 2 pockets! Plus the top stash area. Another feature I really love is the side pockets. This is also 2 pockets!! perfect for phone, tablet, eyeglass case, book, another flashlight....etc. The possibilities are endless. I also am ecstatic to use the vent pockets. I can't wait to try it on the road.

Based on quality of material and build I have to say this tent is 5/5. The only faults I can give it is that that poles are not the most sturdy and the mesh pole guides seem like a place that will tear or break easy.
This is a 4 season tent thus is more geared to the colder seasons and runs a little warm in summer. As about the size, it is on the smaller side of 4 person but would be perfect for 2 people with gear.
I would not use it in heavy snow but it would provide a good shelter if you were caught in a mild fall.
Some of the features not advertised:
* Roof top gear cargo net.
* Snow skirt roll up toggles
* High quality storage accessories.
* Center pole clip organizer.

Not Cheaply Made, But Not Perfect

I do like these tents. It is not cheaply made. The tent is easy to put up, even in the dark. It could use more ventilation for the summer, if you use the rain cover for privacy. If you aren't worried about privacy it's great. For fall temps, I believe you are in good hands. Probably good for cold, but I would be concerned about extreme cold because the zippers aren't as smooth as I would like, and the plastic clip connectors are not high quality. It comes with sturdy grounds pins, so you will feel confident that it will not blow away. I have not tested it the rain yet, but I have tented in high climates where heavy dew is common each night, and the tent is wet, not just damp. It can hold my backpack, sleeping bag, cot, and a small cooler with room to move around for quick cleanup and change clothes. Not a bad buy. I would use a ground cloth, because the fabric, though decent is not very thick. My ground cloth ( did not come with the tent) fits in the original bag that came with the tent. I would make certain to have one to prevent possible puncture. I'm with a Scout troop, we seldom know what ground conditions may be. As I said though. Not a bad buy.
