I don't leave mine in the shower as I figured it would gather mold after, so I use it by putting it down then taking it up each time. I left it in the shower for 3 days to test and I saw mold spots so I only use it each time I need it. It's easy to clean though.

I thought this could replace putting a normal bath mat on the ground in my bathroom for the shower. However, when I step on this mat my feet are still wet, it doesn't really absorb the water. So then I'm walking around the bathroom with wet feet still.
I put a towel on top of it and now I like it that way, seems a little more sanitary than just putting the towel flush on the ground.
