I never write reviews. This is my first one. I have a story.
I got this. I didn't expect a lot. It looked cute and my daughter has been interested in my own isopod tank. So I got this for her birthday and as a reward for going to having to be knocked out for an MRI. Due to an issue with an Amazon fulfillment center, the gel arrived distorted. Which isn't a big deal since the bugs will tear it up. Amazon refunded the amount, but I emailed navadeal to ask if there was anything I could do to help with it.
Togeather, we figured out that winter storm may have warped the gel in amazon possession. Not only did they send me a WHOLE NEW FARM, they offered to compensate me so I could get more gel and went even further beyond.
Their customer service is amazing.
Also, I put dwarf white isopods in it while I waited for ants and they are usually smaller than a mm and we have had no leakage issues. Use a hairdryer to soften the tubes and shape them.

This was a gift for my grandson and was a fun science project. We spent quite a lot of time looking at what the ants were doing and where they went. It is good to have that special area to put the food and water in. It makes it accessible but not easy for the ants to get out. Adults and children can use it without a lot of hassle. It is necessary for the children to have adults put the ants in and for there to be supervision.
