BEST thing I ever bought for my horses!

Super great product. Installed last month. It will save me heating up a 180gal bucket that seemed to always run out on the coldest days. No sizzle when the heating elements were part in / part out of the water, either! Horses learned to drink the day it was installed (hint use apples). The noise from filling scared them a little at first. It seems SUPER study. A couple of notes on installation.... 1. I had to buy the tubes to hold the water line from Ritchie website. I'm in MI so our frost level is 42" so I went with a 4' tube and a 1' tube. They tell you just to duct tape the tubes together. Our biggest problem was that we used the black PTE water line. It was coiled up and despite having it stretched, it still wanted to curl in the yellow insular tube. Ritchie is very particular about the water tube not touching the side (after tests from whatever university MN, maybe?) so we ended up encasing the flexible PTE in a more rigid PVC tube. I won't know if it freezes until later this winter. I did buy a separate 3' heat tape that I will install if I have issues. Also, be careful that you install the grounding rod CLOSE to the yellow insular tube. Mine was too far from the center and now it is outside the rectangular case. I did add the optional outlet and plugged the fountain in. It makes sense in case you have issues. I also added a switch to the system to be able to turn the heat off instead of having to open the yellow box up.
Don’t underestimate

I manage a horse racing farm that has many different auto water systems. Hands down, nothing compares to this.
