Need to modify to fit 1.5 inch thick security door.

I bought a set that had double cylinder deadbolts i.e. key required from either side. I installed these in a inexpensive Home Depot security door that is 1.5 " thick. The forked tabs from each cylinder bottomed out against each other before the lock would tighten down in the door. I had to carefully cut about a quarter inch off each tab (they seem to have index marks on them, so maybe this is a known issue for narrow doors) with a hack saw blade in order to permit the screws to be tightened down without bottoming out on the locking mechanism. After I did this, and oiled the locks, they worked fine. It was more modification than I was expecting and there is nothing in the instructions about this.

I like that all the keys are same front, rear and garage I'm tired of carrying a ring of keys like a jailer . Of course the small screws on the inside of the door knob are difficult to start and tighten this is normal for all the lock sets I've seen. My house is older 1948 so I needed to modify my door but worked out fine.
