So I bought this because naturally my 2yo wants to do what mommy does, so I have caught her trying to get into my makeup a few too many times and so I bought this so she can have her own. That being said, these products are made to mimic mommy's, and it does to a fault. Keep in mind MY daughter is only 2 1/2 years old, so her fine motor skills aren't the same as a 3, 4 or 5yo. But she had major issues opening it. She absolutely loves it and plays with it almost daily. I just get asked a million times to open them because it was hard for her at first. Flash forward a few months and she has finally figured out most of them and I don't get asked near as much to help her open them. She still loves them it is not one of those toys that got forgotten about after a while. I don't regret the purchase at all. Just thought that maybe I would pass that info along in case anyone else is thinking of getting it for a younger toddler...be ready to have to help out a little till she gets the hang of it. Hope your daughter loves it as much as mine does. Genius product!

I gave this makeup kit to my daughter as an award for good behavior. She absolutely loved it. All of the makeup items are very realistic and more importantly, very durable because she has a very bad habit of dropping things and then stepping on them. She has been playing with this makeup kit for several weeks and has not tired of it yet, which is amazing to me. For younger children, the foundation and blush may be difficult to open and you (or any adult) may need to help them open the foundation and the blush. This is a pretend makeup set with no real makeup.

This was a gift for my 5 year old who wants to always play with my makeup. The makeup bag is great quality, the products are good too. I love how they feel. Look real but are completely fake. No pigment comes off them. I have no complaints about anything except the brushes. I know they're fake and it's a play set but when you have a daughter who wants to do your makeup, well you get stabbed by the hard plastic brushes! But yeah it's all great over all!
