Months ago we stumbled upon a bizarre but somehow charming chair at World Market that was made out of similar faux fur material and rustic looking wood. We kept thinking about it and finally had to go back to get it. I saw this pillow and thought it would be the perfect addition to put on the couch to tie it all together. I was a little bummed to see when it arrived that the color of this pillow is really quite white, as opposed to a "natural" fur/wool color as I thought it would be. It's really a cool white toned color as opposed to a warmer natural tone.

Anyway, I still like it, but docked one star because it feels kinda fake and cheap. The chair, while also faux, looks and feels like natural sheep's wool/fur; and that's what I was hoping this would be like. This pillow on the other hand is definitely immediately and obviously is...well, fake. Being listed as faux I didn't expect it to really look totally real--that would be an unrealistic expectation. But I also hoped it wouldn't look this glaringly synthetic. Also, the hardness of the pillow makes it have kind of a cheap feel, compared to other throw pillows I have that are made with a much softer cushion.

I just received 4 of these pillows and I absolutely love them! I think they are even better in person. They are just what I was looking for. They look very rich. I have been shopping around for pillows like this, and similar pillows at other retailers were way more expensive. When I found these especially for the price I was so excited. A great deal for a lovely, plush and cozy pillow. I just ordered 4 more for another room. These are great for the winter and go great with my holiday decorating. You can't beat the price for these if you are looking for a faux fur pillow!

Before buying this pillow I was looking at sheepskin pillows at other retailers for a steep price. I decided to give this one a try because it was such a good value and got good reviews. I was not disappointed! I have it on the couch in my living room and it's a nice size and goes well with my other pillows. One thing - it is definitely a light cream color, not white. That was okay with me, but if you're wanting white you might be disappointed. I like the texture of it and am very happy with the purchase! It definitely makes a statement, so I'm not sure if my living room can handle another one, but if I decide it can I will not hesitate to order a second!

Theses pillows are exactly what I wanted. They are well made, full and very soft. Thank god I read the reviews and learned that you have to brush them to get the fibers to fluff. They arrive looking like a wet dog. Once you brush them out, they're beautiful. Pic on the left is fresh out of the box. On the right is after brushing.

And it still looks and feels like new. Honestly, I never expected for it to last or look and feel so great. I figured it was probably a very cheaply made item that would look and feel...cheaply made. It's fabulous. A few weeks ago I decided to throw it in our white wash in the machine, and what would be would be. If it fell apart, so be it after 2.5 years of use. Well, it came out looking a little odd at first and then I gently pulled off the linty pieces and it brushed it gently with a metal brush in some spots, and WOW!! It's looks and feels like it did when we got it, maybe even better.
The pillow is sewn closed, which I figured was going to make it impossible to really wash it and dry it, so I never did. When I washed it I just threw it in with a gentle cycle white washing our machine and let it air dry. It worked perfectly. No fur loss or damage at all.
I wondered how long it had been since I purchased it and was pretty amazed to see it was almost 3 years ago. I definitely recommend this pillow.
It looks and feels like the real thing, wears beautifully, and the price is great. Time to buy another.
