I confirmed with my Craftsman voltmeter that this unit is accurate to about 10%, which is good enough. I installed the unit on my 08 Kawasaki Versys as I don't have a voltage meter and it got me stranded. The unit has 0 install instructions, including what size hole or wire you need. It's 1" and 10 AWG by the way. It does come with terminals but you'll need a crimper to use them. The USB ports work well, though I don't use them often as I just needed the voltmeter. This unit would be a 5 star is it at least told you what size hole and wire you need.

My batteries died, then I learned my alternator wasn't charging my new batteries because my '03 Ford F250 didn't provide that information. This gadget tells me my battery condition. I don't drive the truck much in the winter and I don't want the LED lights draining my batteries. I have a similar one on my boat and it drained the batteries. I installed a switch so I can turn it off when parked for long periods. I didn't rate the accuracy because I haven't measured it. It seems to be correct.

Fulfilled by Amazon. The first unit they sent had segments of the digital display that were dead (lost a star). Very easy to return and receive a new one that so far works perfectly. It feels solid and to be of high quality. I would recommend this.
Installing it in a travel trailer. The unit is always on when the battery is on. I'm anal about power consumption when dry camping so will run it with a switch. The display is bright enough to be a night light. I would not install it in a sleeping area without a switch.

The only reason this is not a 5 star is because while the picture is accurate I thought it would look nicer. The USB ports are hard to see in the dark and I wish they glowed so it's easier to see
