GREAT small cooler
David Lawn✓ Verified Purchase•November 4, 2023
The size is perfect, the plastic hard shell insert doesn't leak (unless it tips over), the tray is nice to separate the dry things, and it keeps ice a full day. Construction seems robust. What's not to like?
Really nice cooler with lots of storage and features but doesn’t keep ice for 3 days.

So this is a really nice cooler. Great looking, good performing with a lot of great features. The stain resistance is as advertised. It really does wipe clean even with heavy stains. Lots of room. Great storage. I use it with plastic water bottles, not cans and I had 10 water bottles and 7 small Gatorade bottles along with a full bag of ice and snacks with no problem. The only issue is how long the ice stays in the cooler. I'm not sure what conditions they test the cooler to say it holds ice for 3 days but after 8 hours the ice was about 90% gone. Although the water was still ice cold and the drinks were still ice cold. The cooler was on the deck of a boat in about 95 degree weather. So although it didn't hold ice as advertised, I was still pretty happy that it did that well in the heat. I'd buy it again.
Very nice, sturdy cooler with no zipper to break!

This review is for the Arctic Zone Titan zipperless hardbody cooler. Over the years, we've invested in three or four small coolers like this one; they all started off looking great and working great. However, they all seemed to have one fatal flaw; the zipper. Our last small cooler lasted for probably six months of non-heavy use before the zipper broke. A broken zipper means a non-closing cooler which, in the middle of summer, isn't helping the cooler in completing its main task of keeping food and drinks cold and in an unspoiled condition. Because of the zipper, our small, red cooler is no longer our go-to cooler.
Luckily, the holidays were on the not-too-distant horizon and I was in the market for a family present. I decided to search for coolers that featured no zipper (except for side, front or top pockets). I found this Arctic Zone cooler whose Amazon description prominently featured "flip open zipperless lid." Just what I was looking for! After searching a bit more and discovering that I can't afford to spend $299 on a similarly sized Yeti cooler, I bought the Arctic Zone from Amazon Prime and it arrived within two days in a plain looking brown box. I took the 16-can, moss green cooler out and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it looks.
I immediately (since this was the main reason I bought it) opened and closed the top, made easy by no zipper. The cooler seems to seal well and the main latch is held down with Velcro. There is a nice, insulated main front pocket and a smaller pocket in front of that one; these pockets zipper closed with sturdy looking zippers. If those pocket zippers break, since they don't close the main compartment, it won't really matter much. Often, we use the outside pockets to store utensils and napkins; they don't require the pocket being zipped closed. I should mention that this cooler has two webbed pockets on either side; a nice touch.
One of this cooler's best features is the plastic liner that's inside; it fits tightly inside the cooler's outer shell. This bin can handle your food, drinks, ice and water without leaking. Unless, of course, you crack it. But, I'll mention that below.
Here I've called out some of the reasons why you would buy this cooler and some of the reasons you may not:
Pros
Price. A very good price for what you get. You could spend hundreds more to get a Yeti to keep your food cold, or hundreds less and buy this Arctic Zone to keep your food cold.
Bin. The bin could crack, but even if you break it, you can take it out and still have a functioning cooler. In fact, there may be times when you would use this cooler without the plastic insert. For example, if you are really tight on space and may need to smash this cooler into a tiny space.
Shelf. This cooler comes with a small removable shelf that sits at the top of the plastic bin. You can place an ice pack here, or something more delicate that you want to separate from everything else in the cooler (such as a sandwich).
Design. Has a nice handle, outside pockets, nice color (white or moss green), cleans up well, and is sturdy, although time will tell.
Cons:
Smash bin potential. If you're not careful and you smash the cooler too much, you could crack the plastic bin. I haven't seen where you could order a replacement; you might be able to find a small garbage can that would fit. The cooler wouldn't be worthless without the plastic insert however; you could still use the cooler's outer shell, you'd just need to be careful about leakage.
Pop the top open. With this cooler, you won't be able to cram past full and then hope to force the top closed. That Velcro latch won't hold and your cooler will open.
Long term staying power of the Velcro latch. Velcro tends to start off holding great and then lose its holding power over time. Although it's not all gloom and doom with the Velcro because you could use a bungee cord to hold the lid down if the Velcro totally gives out.
Those are my observations about this cooler. Like all products, time will tell how good the Velcro is, how sturdy the fabric and seams are and whether the handle breaks off. But, my impression of the Arctic Zone Titan is that it is well designed and should give you years of trouble free cooling; overall a great value.

Love this Cooler so Much We've Purchased It Twice! (30 Can Size)
Stef P.✓ Verified Purchase•September 16, 2023
We are obsessed with this cooler. It is a 30-can cooler, medium sized. We live in Hawaii with our two kids, and we are always dragging a cooler to the beach, on our boat, or on our kayak. Don't waste your money on an expensive brand. Just buy this cooler, it really is the most functional option on the market. It is worth every. single. penny. We purchased one five years ago, but had to store it outside, and it got moldy in the tropical climate, so we ended up replacing with the same cooler.
My favorite story about this cooler - We took our kayak out in the ocean and we flipped completely upside down when hit by some big waves. We had the cooler strapped via the side handles to our kayak so it didn't fall off the kayak. My iphone was on the top of the cooler with only the cooler's bungee cord on top of it. Miraculously, my phone was held secure by the bungee cord, and I didn't lose my phone. Also, the lid to the cooler stayed closed, so even without a zipper compartment or latch, it stays very securely closed.
Pros:
- Soft sided, but plastic inside. This is ideal for bringing on a boat, as it's easier to squish under the bench seat, or easier to squeeze in with our beach gear. But it holds its shape so the food doesn't get smushed, and things don't get shifted around.
- No Zip Closure. It has a velcro tab, and the plastic lid fits snugly in the cooler top, so you get a tight seal, but you can open one-handed. This is so important when you are out on a boat or always have your hands full with a kid.
- Lots of storage on the cooler. 2 zipper compartments in front for holding essential items. 2 side mesh pouches, and a bungee cord on top to tie things to the top of the cooler.
- Plastic divider inside the cooler so that you separate food and cans. You can fit regular height cans and seltzer (taller skinnier) cans underneath the plastic divider. You cannot fit a standing water bottle, you will have to lay it on its side.
- Holds 30 cans. It's a great medium sized cooler. We can fit a few drinks, and lunch for our family of 4 in this cooler.
- Comes with a bottle opener attached.
- Adjustable shoulder strap.
Cons:
- The description says ice lasts 3 days. I've never seen ice last anywhere close to this, but we are opening the cooler often when we use it. We were on a boat in the Hawaiian sun for about five hours, and the ice was almost all completely melted by the end of our time, but the water was still very cold.
- On our first cooler, the plastic divider broke after about three years. We still continued to use it, and I never actually contacted the company to see if they would issue a replacement.

Great value cooler for day trips
Gary G✓ Verified Purchase•September 3, 2023
Lots to love about this little cooler. I bought it for day use on my kayak for drinks/lunch etc. The flip top makes it very easy and quick open and close, so much easier than the zippered coolers, which is a huge plus when on the kayak. It is now also my go to for in the car. The strap is comfortable, but it is attached and cannot be removed. Be aware this cooler does not keep ice or cold packs for more than 12-18 hours, especially if it is hot. It has nothing like the performance of a Yeti or similar, but of course it costs a fraction of those high-end coolers. For the price, it is outstanding!
