I used it to go from my M1 Mac mini to a BenQ monitor and it did the trick. Just plug and play, no issues so far.

I was a bit afraid to purchase because the only need is to connect a Surface Dock 2 to the DVI port on my monitor, and the description says that doesn't work. A coworker has the HDMI version, which also says it wouldn't work, but it does! And the DVI version works with my monitor! Now I'm not close to 4K, so that could be a difference, but 1920x1200@60, it works great with a Surface Dock 2!

First one I ordered a year ago worked fine.
This week, I ordered another one so I don't have to carry it to office and home, and it did not work
(confirmed by swapping back and forth between old good cable and new bad cable).
Returned for replacement, which arrived THE NEXT DAY (Amazon can be pretty amazing), and this 3rd one worked fine. Two out of 3 isn't bad for the price, since it cost me only 1 day. Of course it can be hard to figure out if it is the display, the computer, or the cable, unless you can swap.
