These are a little on the thin side but they are very well made and can stretch like a rubber band. Silicon is the way to go and I will find many different uses for these guys.

I used these silicone orings to replace the rubber nitrate one in our shower head. I can't vouch for the longevity of this yet because it's only been a week since I've installed it. The rubber nitrate ones I used only last months before it would be difficult to move the shower head. I'm hoping the silicone material on this will make it last long time.
