Was not impressed with the openings at both ends. It was marketed as a hat, not a neck covering or bandana. There is no way to wear without the opening at the end being visible.

One of the best winter hats I've bought in years, especially for the price! I got the navy one for my sister and our group of friends liked it so much I ended up buying the green one for my male cousin. It's one of those "slouchy" hippy hats that look good often on both men and women. It does have a hole in the top as some reviewers have noted so that you could pull it down as a neck warmer but that feature doesn't effect it's usefulness as a hat. It slouches down and the hole isn't noticeable.
