Bought this for moving out of state. I don't recommend this carrier if you have a cat with a fierce determination to get out of it. I've tried it a couple ways, using locks and hooks to keep the zipper tabs together but my cat kept weaseling her way out! I'd leave the room and come back two mins later & she would be out. It's not necessarily the product since it kept my boy cats (who are okay with staying where they are put) in. However this was really great for traveling thanks to the strap and hooks it comes with! I essentially used my car seatbelt through the top loop and used the strap to hook it onto my girl cat's harness. This gave her the perfect amount of room to be out of the carrier and sit normally in the car without giving her too much free range that could put in danger while driving. It didn't hold its shape and she ended up sitting on it, but again, it worked out as a spot for her to sit comfortably. The material is sturdy and didn't get too dirty so that was nice as well. Good for small to medium cat. I have another large cat and it was a little too small for him. All in all, a good product and a good buy with multiple uses depending on your cat and what you're doing with it. Hence 4 stars!

I'm not a big reviewer, but after a recent experience, Pet Magasin is my new go-to brand.

First off, my 3 lb kitten loves this carrier. I put a puppy pad and a Pet Magasin thermal bed pad into it to keep it clean and make it a bit cozier, and she loves to snuggle up in it, sometimes choosing it over her bed. That alone won me over. It's also very comfortable to carry, and she can relax (as much as she can) even while we're moving. The pocket is nice; I carry treats, bags, and an extra puppy pad in it. Love the hook for her harness so I can give her a little more air while not letting her run around everywhere. The options to open the front "door" and also unzip the whole thing are really nice.

My kitten had an accident in the car, both in the bed pad and on the sides of the carrier once she moved around before we got home. She had some nasty diarrhea all over the bed pad, and she walked in it and spread it around the carrier and pad. Because the carrier unzips all the way around, I could get her out without smearing poop all over the rest of the carrier (and her!) and I could wipe the entire inside of the carrier clean with a Lysol wipe. The surface doesn't seem porous, so I was able to just wipe it down. The bed was also easy to clean, highly recommended!

The only things I'm not as big of a fan of is the size of the windows. They're very small, but that contributes to it being easier to clean. She can also hide in the back without being seen if she's feeling shy too. Beyond pleased with this carrier, both for comfort (for me and kitty) and for how easy it was to clean.

I've had my old cat carrier for something like 25 years. I got my son this one, and he loves. So, I decided to get this cat carrier too.

It fold down flat which is great, because I had the big, monster plastic box. It took the space. In the garage, it got rust on the front metal bars, and I do not think that is good for a cat.

My old cat (loved him so much) was 20 lbs, so he had the largest plastic carrier and needed it. My new cat who is four years old did not need that big a cage, and I did not need to carry that much weight as not a spring chicken. Samba is around 9 lbs.

I thought to start with that the carrier did not have a window in the first face window, but they nailed that. Samba can see going in which I would think is less scary that going toward a solid, blank wall.

There is a hand carry which I use but also a shoulder strap. I feel like I keep things steadier with the roof top hand hold. I'm sure others would work out with the shoulder carry.

The color is fine. It won't show dirt a lot even though it is light. I might prefer a vibrant color like purple etc. But, this one is fine.

This is one of my favorite online buys. I do buy some things like this with a reduced price, but that does not have any impact at all on what I think of a product. This one is thumbs up. Now, Mac Daddy has adopted me, so I need two carriers to take Samba and MD to the vet. I'll use the two I have, but I want to get another soft side. It folds flat to store, and that is fabulous.

We arranged to pick up our new kitten on our way home from vacation. The last thing I wanted to do was check an empty cat carrier on the airplane and then wrangle it around the Pacific Northwest -- particularly the huge, hulking plastic crate we've owned for 25 years. If nothing else, I knew that older unit would never fit under an airline seat.

This one was _perfect_. To begin with, it zips apart into a flat package that comfortably fits into my checked luggage; it stayed out of the way until the end of the trip, just as I hoped. And then it zipped into a sturdy carrier, complete with shoulder strap. It also has a small pocket where I could put a Ziploc full of food or whatnot, if it had been necessary (though it wasn't that long a trip).

And, importantly, it fit fine under the airline seat. (We did spring for the "extra leg room" option, more for us than for the kitty.) The zipper arrangement let us unzip just-the-top for a couple of inches so we could scritch him reassuringly. He slept through the whole plane ride and was very quiet, but I'm not prepared to give the kennel the credit.

It's no problem in the car, either, though he's only had a couple of rides to the vet.

The kitten was less than 3 pounds when we got him, so I'll let other people speak to "How big a critter can you stuff into this?" I don't think I'd have had trouble getting our other/earlier cats into the carrier, and one of them was probably 15 pounds at his heftiest.

All in all: It's an excellent cat carrier at a reasonable price. Easy to recommend.

We've got two adult cats, one of which is a really big guy at 17 pounds (he is overweight which we're dealing with, but he's also just a very large framed cat). The big guy has stretched a supposedly hard sided carrier to the point that the door pops out. Obviously, that doesn't do us much good with keeping him secure for vet visits. When I saw these soft-sided carriers, I wasn't positive they would work for us, particularly since our other cat has all of her claws and that mesh didn't necessarily look too sturdy in the picture. These were on sale for a deep discount on Easter Sunday so I took a chance and snapped up a couple of them to try with our critters.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality to be pretty high and as soon as as zipped them up into their carrier shape and set them out with the doors open, both of our cats immediately climbed in them just to hang out. The size is perfect for even a larger adult cat -- not too small that he can't move around or turn around, but not big enough for either cat to be sliding around on the journey. With the long shoulder strap, they were easy to carry to and from the car without jostling the cats around too much which I appreciated since our female cat is pretty skiddish about taking trips anywhere. I will admit to being afraid that the zipper would hold up to 17 pounds of cat hanging off of it, but so far so good. I can't speak to the durability of the mesh when pitted against claws because our little one was too scared of where she was going to really try to escape, but it seems like it would hold up to casual abuse at least. There was a slight new material kind of odor when I first got these out of the package, but I didn't notice it after airing them out for a bit and the cats didn't care so it wasn't an issue.

All in all, these are great carriers that I think should work fine for both smaller and larger sized cats and in my tiny house, I love that they fold up almost flat for storage. Worth it at the sale price I paid, worth at the regular price as well.
