Lightweight but not very sturdy

Finding a quality mannequin is a gamble, because I think most of us end up overpaying for a cheap item from China. I scoured around and could only find lower-priced mannequins in the range of $50-60, but with mixed reviews on quality. This item had mixed reviews and I can see why. First, it's very lightweight. It topples over fairly easily and probably couldn't handle much weight. Fortunately, I only use it for displaying shirts and jewelry, so that wasn't much of a frustration point for me, but I could definitely understand being annoyed if I had paid $50 for it. I got it used for half the price, so at $27, I think it does exactly what I need it to do and is worth the quality. However, if you need it for more than lightweight items, I don't think you'd get the value from it if you don't buy it on sale.
Makes sewing so much easier

Super easy to assemble and arrived early. It is light weight, which makes it really easy to move around. Because it is light weight, it is good to support it while pushing pins in and to be aware of not making it top heavy. This is not a negative feature nor would it prevent me from recommending the item, you simply cannot have light weight and sturdy. Mine gets moved around a lot, so light weight is more important. Very good option, especially for a beginner seamstress. Measurements were also very accurate.
Nice dress form for display

The dress form is nice as a display. The body feels like Styrofoam so it's light. The shipping was expensive and cost the same as the dress form and doesn't fall under the Prime membership, so that was a negative. I use mine in my dining room as an apron display for the season
Great Buy For A Great Price

For the most part the dress mannequin is just want I wanted. The good: affordable, light-weight, easy to assemble, does what I need it to do. The not-so good: the black fabric is shiny and thin, it picks up any kind of lint from other clothing, so it has to be brushed after some uses. The bad: it's a bit wobbly. There's no securing/tightening mechanism at the tripod base and pole, therefore, the mannequin wobbles. When I picked the mannequin torso the base and pole remained in place. When I picked it up from the pole, the tripod base remained in place. I learned picking it from the tripod base is best. There should have been a locking mechanism at the lower end of the pole securing it to the tripod base. Overall, it's a good product worth the price. If a locking mechanism is placed at the bottom of the pole and the tripod base, it would be much better!
