Odd Sizing

Small is size 6-7 and Medium is size 7-8. Now they can't BOTH be size 7! And I am a true size 7. Assuming the small was mis-marked, I ordered medium. It was at least a 7-1/2. On the first step I walked right out of it! I returned them and ordered the small. It's a snug fit but okay just barely. Also the heel is a bit wide but I'm not walking out of them.
I actually ordered both the "sand" color which is a creamy white and also the gray. They appear to be nicely- and well-made as well as reasonably priced"¦plus they come in white which I was having trouble finding. The insole felt a little wonky and uneven but not so much I would return them. And I figure that because it's memory foam, they should reshape some to my own feet.
It's a shame they don't come at least in whole sizes for better fit and not having to guess which to order.
