I bought this for my 3-year-old daughter and she loves it. She's only had it for a couple weeks so far and it seems to be holding up fine. The only minor issue I found with it is that once the unicorn pops up and you go to push it back down in and relatch the lid, you may have to rotate the crank another four rotation for the gears to realign, and set the latch back. Nothing major, I showed my daughter how to fix it and she picked up on an instantly

My daughter has been asking for a jack in the box for a couple years and it always slips my mind with other gifts to buy. I made it a point to finally get her one this year (after some serious mom guilt and a little bit of pity party from her), but she's almost 7 now and I was having the WORST time finding a jack in the box that was more age appropriate. While the price tag was more than I had planned on paying, but after reading reviews I bit the bullet and I am so, so very happy I did. It feels like a much more solid toy than the one I had when I was young, the outside design is so cute and fits right in with her Jojo room decor, and she loves that it is a different song than pop goes the weasel. If you are on the fence, especially due to price, I promise you won't regret this. It is worth every penny and my daughter is absolutely in love.
