So first and foremost, this was one of my 6 year old's favorite presents on Christmas morning, hands down. He was SUPER excited to get this bow, and has been playing with it consistently ever since. It definitely has some zip on it, especially compared to his old bow he won at the arcade! If your kid has Nerf guns, I would liken this to being shot with one of the Nerf Mega series, so you'll definitely want to be careful where your kid is aiming it. The only downside is that the arrows are very brittle. We've had two of them break on us already, and although I was able to keep them in service with some packing tape, at the rate we're going through them, I do anticipate this will be a problem. I never had this problem with the arrows from the old arcade prize bow, which overall is much cheaper in design. Would have been nice if they'd used a more flexible plastic for those arrow shafts that would give a little bit rather than shattering the first time your kid steps on it by mistake. That's really the only downside, though, otherwise this thing is well-made and my kid loves it!

I got this as a gift for my 3 soon to be 4 year old. He kept trying to pull back hard and after a week or so the string is so stretched out and I don't know how to fix it. If he was a little older he probably wouldn't have done it.

I was expecting a better quality than what I got. I like how it came with 6 arrows but the suction to the target that it comes with doesn't work at all. Also the target it's fairly small and it didn't come with any drying or anything to hang it with. Everything else was fine. My 6 yo daughter plays with it all the time just not the target.

I purchased these and went dinosaur hunting with my grandson. They are strong enough to get fairly accurate shots, but not enough to really hurt anyone.

My six year old daughter is into the Hunger Games, so this was one of her Christmas presents.
