Looked a bit confusing at first. The Chinese to English translation could use some help. The instructions include using a cable for ceiling support, but it's not included. However, it should hold the weight of a shower curtain.

I laugh at the photo of two kids hanging on the bar where it attaches to the wall. Yes, they could hang on the mounting piece that's secured into the wall, but not on the bar itself. It dips down with lightest touch such as when hanging the shower curtain. You can see it angle down from the where it's attached in the wall.

Since installing the rod has dipped down further. It's just us, two retired adults and nothing but a shower curtain has been on the rod. The curtain at the U area now touches the tiles and stays wet which means mold or algae will start to accumulate. Ceiling hung supports will likely help. Or we will need to replace with copper or other metal tubing that can be shaped. Until then, I have hopes the bars won't rust as the description said they can be used for an outdoor shower. I've learned the hard way that Florida humidity is especially hard on things that aren't marine grade so we will see.

The box arrived intact with all the parts and pieces needed for installation. Unlike other reviews, our box did not have ceiling supports and they weren't listed in the item description (June 2023). Since we bought this for an outdoor shower, ours is drilled into exterior plaster and the homes's corner structure supports. We used a drill and longer screws with heavy duty anchors.

The acutual bars are lightweight. There are 6 of them and they slide easily into each other to adjust to various lengths and widths. Each side has two bars that adjust the length and there are 2 bars that slide into each other and have a curved end that the side bars slip into to adjust the width. Once you have the size you want, then the set screws will keep it to that size.

The one thing I didn't realize is this type of shower rod requires a wider than normal shower curtain. In the photo, I used a standard 72 x 72 inch curtain that I had also ordered. Since our assembled shower bar measures 38 inches long on each side and 32 inches wide across the end we will need a wider curtain of at least 108". Not a wide selection of "fun" or ocean image in that size, so I will likely need to sew two curtains together. Unfortunately the one in the image is no longer available so I can't sew two of them get a big enough curtain.

Also, this rod only comes with 12 hooks so I had to order another set. I would have expected more shower hooks than just enough for a standard curtain because that's a pretty small shower size. But kudos to including them instead of me having to buy 2 sets. As an example 12 hooks cover only 72 linear inches which would be a U shaped shower space of 24" wide x 24" deep. Barely enough for an adult to stand inside.

This was not as bad to install as it may seem, I used a cordless drill, medium size screwdriver, a stud-finder, a lase-leveler(a bubble one is just fine), wire cutter for the final step and a ladder(because I'm not 7 feet tall).

The instructions could use improvement on grammar, but if you are already technically proficient, you can figure out what you should do first and what parts apply.

There are 2 options on the installation;
1. Screws into the wall (wood/drywall). Read the instructions carefully when installing.
I suggest to understand/research what an achor-point is and/or load balancing means when mounting brackets with only 3 screws.
2. Adhesive onto tile (I wouldn't consider drilling into a tiled surface). Industrial epoxy/adhesive was provided (2 tubes, the activator and the adhesive). Read the instructions carefully on how to apply.

This solve what many people wonder how to have a shower curtain mounting around a corner tub when the wall is over 16 feet apart. Having this for a solution to border a connected shower and tub in a new built home(2000's and newer) was a good option. Rather than trying to find a 16 foot shower curtain rod or a 16 foot shower curtain. I don't think they exist.

I am very happy with this purchase as it was an excellent solution to a common problem with bathtub bathrooms.

I've had this product now for 2 year - the actual structure has held up really well. Its been outside in 2 Maine winters. My only complaints are that its a bit wobblily, however its held the shower curtains fine and the screws that how the stabilizing cable are rusting. Otherwise everything else is in great shape! Very happy with this purchase.
