I've only been using this product for a short time, so I cannot speak to long-term durability, but it has held up after a few hand washes (I don't have a dishwashing machine) which other products have not done. I love the wooden handle which stays smooth and the ladle head is a decent size, smaller than my last ladle, but fine for me. I never noticed any strong smells. I can't think of any other details, but it works for me and I like it.

This ladle works well. The bowl is the right size for soup, which is why I bought it. The bowl color is a light grey (I thought it might be white, but it's not). The handle is acacia wood, according to the description, and that looks right and give the tool a more elegant look. The silicone of the bowl extends up to meet the wooden handle, which is good, because that keeps the wood out of the soup for the most part. Because of the wood handle, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, so hand washing is needed (hence the 4 stars on the easy to clean rating). The shopping experience with the seller was great--I got the ladle the next day!
