Pretty good deal but could use some QoL updates

Arrived with a dented panel and no instructions I could find. The front door was locked and the sides were not opening for me. I managed to pick the lock quickly and get the instructions and hardware from inside.

The front door can only stay shut by locking it. There is no magnet or latch. Seems easy enough to address on my own.
Best rack for a reasonable price

I have been doing rack installs for years and this is hands down worth the price of only 120ish bucks after tax. You will have to pay triple for another product which is just the same exact thing with a different brand.

I used this for a home theater solution because of two reasons.

1. I needed a box with airflow so having the mesh body helped and having the fans on top helped. The fans are LOUD but this is usually hidden in a network closet. What I did was spend 10 dollars online for a voltage regulator, its basically a box that takes an input voltage of 120v and it has a dial which allows you to tune the output voltage to as low as 10v. I left mine at around 60v for airflow and silence. I also have one of the smart outlets which have a control sensor outlet, so when my AVR turns on, it turns on the fans and the Pro-amp.

2.) A better way to hide all the cables, oh why are there so many cables. All my cables are hidden on the bottom of the unit with my first rack-mount amp blocking all of them from view. So now it looks like this nice black box with zero wires other than the power in, network in, and speaker outs.

Since I can not add photos for some strange reason, I can describe what i put in.

From top to bottom.

a. Denon AVR
b. the included Shelf
c. Xbox
d. Pro-amp Mounted (shelf for Xbox)
e. Record Player
f. Shelf with sliding rails so the Record Player can be pulled out to put in records.

I do wish I can find an extra shelf that matches the one included exactly...
Great for the price!

I'm very pleased with the overall fit and finish of this server rack, the wheels are hard to tighten beyond finger tight due to needing basically a stamped wrench to be able to fit the gap that's left, (or just double nut from the inside like I ended up doing) but mine arrived in great shape, no dents or scratches, and the finish looks nice and durable.
Sides both lock and remove easily, as does the front, and a bunch of keys are provided, which is handy. I'd buy this again for sure!

Good Rack, Short Depth

So, I ordered the wrong thing. I needed a rack for some new-to-me Dell R410 servers. Somewhere between mentally converting mm to in and not double-checking my maths, I ordered a rack that only holds half-deep equipment like switches. Not the seller's fault, nor the equipment, so I unboxed it and gave it a once-over to report objectively, even though I did send it back because, well, I don't need 12U of switches.

Packaging: The product showed up with some box damage, and I noticed right away that the hardware was in baggies but loose, the box it was in I later noted had been zip-tied to the shelf and a drop had ripped the box in half. So it took a beating in transit. One side was a little bent, not enough that it's unusable, but makes me question the quarter-inch polystyrene foam packing. It could use maybe a little more padding to prevent damage, but also, the shipping was pretty abusive.

Assembly / Build quality: There wasn't much assembly. The shelf is already attached (but can be moved) and the casters are a single-nut process. You might want to consider buying a second nut to lock the wheels, but probably overkill since this will more likely sit in a cold corner rather than be used for neighborhood soapbox derby. For the size of the rack, the metal thickness makes it pretty solid. Could be a little more heavy-duty, but that would've added weight and cost, and if it were a full-height or full-depth rack would've been an issue. The casters were easy to screw on and rolled smoothly (tho I always add a little white lithium grease to make extra sure). The locks worked smoothly, the side panels came off and went back on without a fight, despite the shipping damage.

Hardware: As mentioned the shelf is attached and removable; I didn't remove it but if you're reading this review to learn how to unscrew nuts and bolts then this may not be for you. It comes with a handful of spring nuts to mount things, depending on the rails you're using these may or may not be necessary. There are three door locks, each has a pair of keys for a total of 6 keys. It appears that all keys work for all locks, I don't know if anyone ever wants to allow someone into the front or side and not both? For that matter, if someone has already made it into your datacenter and wants to carry off one or more heavy rackmount servers, I can't imagine a rack cabinet lock is going to dissuade them from stealing it. Lastly, there is mounting hardware to attach this to a wall, I obviously didn't take this for a test run but it seemed like it would do the job.

Overall: If you need a short-depth rack for a few switches and a UPS, and if you want the option to roll it around or mount it to a wall, this is a solid enough cabinet to do the job. I was disappointed it didn't fit my need, partly because I would be happy to have kept it if I had a use, and also partly because what I actually need will cost more. Bang-for-buck, it's an inexpensive and serviceable option that I'd recommend.
