I ordered a few different slides and must say that I was surprised with this one. It was comfortable, easy to play and sounds great. I wasn't expecting it but it's my favorite slide now.

Very attractive piece of workmanship, love the color. Uniform size and shape. The sizes are accurate, I ordered a Medium (mittel) for use on my pinky. I have chubby fingers and the 19mm was a good fit for me. From the stated sizes it looks like the only difference in the small and medium is the length.

I keep coming back to this slide. In fact this is my 2nd purchase to keep in my Martin D-35 case. I really want to like those blues bottle slides, but they won't stay on my pinky and they're closed on end. I use slide on my pinky to free up the other three fingers, even though I have more control I think with ring finger. This medium Blue Lagoon one won't fit over ring finger knuckle. These are well made, beautiful, and reasonably priced. Not sure what's up with the 1 star rating. What'd the guy expect he was getting besides a thick, fairly weighty slide?

I have previously used metal and glass slides. After trying this ceramic slide, I am a devoted ceramic slide user. The sustain provided by the slide surpasses anything I have ever used. The tone retains the uncolored sound of the instrument. I ordered a large size, and it feels a little big for me. The interior diameter is about 29/32". I ordered a medium, to see if it fits better. Recognize that this ceramic slide has a larger outer diameter than almost every metal or glass slide I have ever seen, so it takes a little adjustment in playing style to get your positioning right for the larger diameter. The slide is also a little heavier than some others I have used, but I found neither the diameter nor weight difference to be a hindrance. I really like this slide and look forward to using it more and more. Highly recommended that every slide player try one out.
