This great appears to be a more solid construction than the original. The original, in my opinion, did not last as long as it should have. I've only had this one for a couple of months but I could tell right out of the box that it was a better construction with more solid materials. I am pleased with it.

I have a vintage Brinkmann smoker grill and this fit perfectly. It's made from thick steel plate with a coating to keep it in good shape. I am glad I bought it, it will save the grill bottom from damage.

Bought this to replace the original one that rusted out. This was part of a temporary fix on my grill that was on its last legs. My husband did some repair work on the grill replaced rusted out parts by the vent. Also the underside of the grill where parts had corroded. The part we purchased from Amazon was a good purchase.
