yes there is some hand shock..just wear gloves.I can shoot pine cones all day with this bow...I have 32.5 draw..Not a problem..I love it. Whatever draw weight you think u want , go 5 lbs less..quite bow..just love it

Very good quality at a very good price. I heard good things about this bow and since I got room for one more I got it. The price was just $179.00 and delivered in just a few days so I didn't expect a top notch bow. The bow was easy to tune, quiet and dead on accurate. My hand fits the grip perfect and I feel hardly no hand shock at all. This is a good reflex, deflex combo at 64". I ordered 45# and it actually weighed at a close 44#. This came with a fast flight string and I couldn't ask for a better longbow. I highly recommend it.
