We have 3 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat. We also use these to feed birds on shelves. The gel base grips nicely. We've tried lots of feeders but these are easiest to use and keep clean. Because the gel base, by nature, grips whatever it touches, the removal of the bowls is a little bit tricky. Cleanup is a snap.
Wish there was a finger slot in the gel so we could get a fingernail under the edge of the bowl but not a big deal.

This is a perfect setup for my dogs to have water and "snack" food available to them throughout the day. Things I like: 1) it's all-in-one which is neater looking, cohesive, and the bowls stay together. 2) There is a lip around the outside of the silicon mat part (the black), so food and water do not spill on the floor. 3) The mat isn't going to slide around on the floor. 4) The bowls hold 2 full cups of liquid or food, which means I am not constantly going to be refilling the bowls several times a day. 5) It looks really nice!
