This foot stool is sturdy, I have used it for a year now. It adjusts from a low position (roughly 5") to a high, roughly 10" - 12". It angles up so that your foot is in a comfortable position. It has six positions. I find I am not always playing guitar in the same chair so I need various heights of the foot stool. This one is very stable as well.
