This Bira 6-hole punch came preset for A5/A6 paper. I'm an all day note taker (obsessed) and often do it on junior legal pads and i've tried everything to get my paper gob pile organized. So I've found this punch solved that. Cleanly punches 6 holes to fit my A5/A6 binder. I moved the slider out maybe a half inch to get it aligned where I like. It does punch kinda close to the edge but who's complaining - not me!!! I'm overjoyed with this little tool. Luckily it arrived in perfect condition, despite being mailed in a bubble wrapper. It has different settings for larger or smaller paper that is marked 'memo/personal/A5, etc. Watch video and no need to read instructions. Easy peasy. It is stamped with "personal 6 Sunlit" name instead of Bira. And the last great thing is it has a lock button to keep it closed down for easier storage.

I make not books of a vareity of different binding options. So most of my work involves the use of office sized punch machines the kind that take up huge amounts of real estates as they have large foot prints. I have different sizes for different projects and binders. But decided a few years ago to start adding other options too including the A5 and A6 six ring binder style. When I recently set out to order pre punched lined paper for both sizes I was shocked at the price of paper? So for both around 200 sheets each it would have been close to 20 dollars. I had multiple books to fill. I also have a lot of different weights of paper and copy paper so why not punch my own. I checked out several of my punche options and none seemed to line up as well as I wanted. This came up and I decided to order. Really happy I did. It feels strudy it has a kind of sliding paper guide to help punch paper in the right spot each time. And it handled heavy and I mean heavy cardstock nicely. The punches can be slid with some difficulty but not impossible to align with the sizes you need to fit. There is a release button on the back side which took me a moment to figure out how to move. It didn't want to budge and I understood without even finding it's mention in the directions inside printted or the packing material either one. But I presisted and sure enough it gave way and the unit opened enough to allow me to slip the cardstock in place and punch. Which was smooth and easy and so this is ideal. It will more than pay for itself the first 4 books I make and now I have options and choices to use all kinds of papers etc. Happy happy happy. I did not try to punch plastic but will because it can be tough to do with any punches even my fancy professional office ones with the pull handles. But I think this should work with just a little bit more force. Also it's kind of cute. As soon as ome green vinyl I've ordered arrives I intend to make two A5 and A6 journals designed for a friend. She loves greens like lime green and kiwi green so I can now insert custom pages and artwork and poly envelopes and punch everything. Not sure If I'll need to use light weight cardstock to get a good punch for the softer vinyls but will do that if need be. The trick would be using a repositional adhesive but not along the edge where the punch could get gummed up. But glued to the cardstock well enough to help glide it between the narrow space for punching. I don't believe there is any throat options but I'm still quite happy with this punch. I would recommend once of course you figure out how the slide guide works and how to move the cuting punches themselves into position of choice and finally and maybe most important on how to release the opening via the button on the back side. Then it's all easy.

i so love this 6-hole puncher, it is so easy to understand and use. so worth the money you spend on it.

I love that this locks and how the rule slides out; It's very compact and I can even fit it in my desks shallow pencil drawer, which was unexpected. I do wish the rule itself was metal, the plastic will certainly be the first part to break, shortening the lifespan of it.

The color is more orange than the pictures looked. I thought it was more of a salmon color.

The bottom drawer is actually made of flexible plastic, not really a drawer, which doesn't bother me, just never seen that before.

Also, the mark to set the holes isn't super clear, but you know because you can feel it snap into place.

Also FYI you have to look on both sides to adjust the holes themselves and the ruler/paper stopper on the back, they don't adjust simultaneously.

Love that it's adjustable, and super heavy and durable
