This is exactly what we needed! We needed these for our potted outdoor hibiscus trees while we were away for vacation and they were amazing! They're beautiful and add a very pretty colorful accent. I stuffed a little paper towel at the bottom as others had recommended so it wouldn't get clogged with dirt and it's worked wonderfully! So happy with these!!

I cannot see how these will last for more than 2 days without needing new water but they do keep my outside plants hydrated during the heat of the day. I had to wrap a piece of cheesecloth at the bottom to keep them from getting clogged with dirt but that was no big deal. These are 12" long and you need to prepare a long deep hole to accommodate so I think I'll invest in a few shorter ones.
